PSM Makassar to Host ACC Semifinal Against Cong An Hanoi at Home
PSM Makassar is set to play its first home match in the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) as the club hosts Cong An Hanoi FC in the first leg of the semifinals at Stadion BJ Habibie, Parepare, on April 2.
The confirmation came after the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) approved the stadium as the venue following an inspection of its recent renovations. This marks a significant moment for PSM, as they had previously played their home matches in the group stage at neutral venues in Balikpapan and Bali.
Before granting approval, AFF conducted a series of assessments, including workshops and evaluations of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and stadium facilities. Additionally, PSM supporters committed to ensuring a safe and orderly match, further securing AFF’s approval.
This home advantage provides PSM Makassar with an opportunity to perform in front of their fans as they aim for a strong result in the first leg of the ACC semifinal.
