Christian Pulisic in Talks for Extended AC Milan Stay

Christian Pulisic is engaged in discussions with AC Milan regarding a contract extension, signaling his desire to remain with the club long-term. The 26-year-old winger has established himself as a key figure at San Siro since joining from Chelsea in July 2023 on a four-year deal.  

Having previously played for Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, Pulisic has flourished in Italy, becoming the first Milan player since Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score 15 or more goals in all competitions during his first two seasons. His latest goal in Milan’s 2-1 victory over Como matched his career-best tally for a single campaign.  

Despite his strong individual performances, Milan has struggled to meet expectations. A coaching shake-up saw Stefano Pioli depart last summer, with Paulo Fonseca taking charge before being replaced by Sergio Conceição in late December. However, inconsistency has remained an issue for the club.  

During the January transfer window, Milan reinforced their attacking options, adding João Félix on loan from Chelsea and signing Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord to support Pulisic and Rafael Leão. Currently sitting eighth in Serie A and trailing league leaders Inter Milan by 14 points, Milan faces an uphill battle to regain its status among Italy’s elite.
