Malut United Dominates Borneo FC 3-0 in Front of Two Indonesia National Team Assistants

Malut United secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Borneo FC in their Liga 1 2024-25 match at Kie Raha Stadium in Ternate on Monday, February 10, 2025. The match was observed by two of Indonesia's national team assistant coaches, Alex Pastoor and Denny Landzaat, who stood out in traditional batik attire.

In front of their home crowd, Malut United controlled the match, putting Borneo FC under significant pressure and making it difficult for them to build any rhythm. Malut United took the lead in the 38th minute with a penalty from Adrianto Castanheira, and just before halftime, Castanheira extended their advantage to 2-0 with a spectacular long-range shot in the second minute of stoppage time.

Despite some early chances for Borneo FC in the second half, including a blocked shot by Ronaldo Rodrigues and a missed bicycle kick from Matheus Pato, Malut United continued to threaten. Castanheira and Yakob Sayuri both had efforts that were either blocked or saved by Borneo’s goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata.

As the match neared its conclusion, Nadeo made several key saves, including a brilliant stop against Diego Martinez in the 83rd minute. In the dying moments of the game, after a penalty review by the referee, Nadeo collided with Malut United’s Wbeymar Angelo in the penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty, which Junior Brandao successfully converted, securing a 3-0 win for Malut United. The match ended shortly after with a commanding victory for the hosts.
