AC Milan Secures Santiago Gimenez on a Long-Term Deal Until 2029

AC Milan has officially completed the permanent signing of Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord. The Mexican striker joins the club for a reported fee of 35 million euros, including bonuses and add-ons. Gimenez has agreed to a contract that will keep him at the San Siro until June 2029.
The 23-year-old forward, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 18, 2001, started his football career in the youth ranks of Cruz Azul in Mexico. He made his professional debut for the club in August 2017 and went on to score 21 goals in 105 appearances.
In the summer of 2022, Gimenez moved to Feyenoord, where he enjoyed significant success, making 105 appearances and scoring 65 goals. His time in the Netherlands included winning an Eredivisie title, the KNVB Cup, and the Johan Cruyff Shield.
At Milan, Gimenez will wear the iconic number 7 shirt, a number once worn by club legends like Andriy Shevchenko, who won the Ballon d'Or in 2004. The number became available after Alvaro Morata's departure to Galatasaray.
This marks Milan's second major signing in the January transfer window, following the acquisition of Kyle Walker from Manchester City earlier in the month.
