Patrick Kluivert’s Coaching Career: A Look at His Stats

Patrick Kluivert has officially been appointed as the new head coach of the Indonesia national football team, replacing Shin Tae-Yong. The announcement was made via a video post on the official PSSI Instagram account, welcoming Kluivert to the role.



Kluivert had long been speculated as a top contender to take over as the head coach of Indonesia, and following a press conference held on December 6, 2025, PSSI confirmed the news of his appointment. The official introduction of Kluivert was later made through the PSSI website and social media platforms.

Kluivert’s coaching journey began in 2011 when he took charge of FC Twente’s U21 team in the Netherlands, where he stayed until 2013. While his managerial career has not been as remarkable as his playing days, he has gathered significant experience over the years.

According to data from Transfermarkt, Kluivert has managed various teams, including the senior squad of Turkish club Adana Demirspor and the national team of Curacao. His coaching record includes 34 matches across both club and national team roles, with 12 wins, 12 losses, and 10 draws, giving him a win percentage of approximately 35.29%.

At Curacao, Kluivert was in charge for 8 matches, securing 3 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses. He also had a brief caretaker stint with the same team, managing 6 games with 1 win, 2 draws, and 3 losses.
