PSM Makassar Adds Brazilian Playmaker Savio Roberto to Strengthen Midfield
PSM Makassar has officially signed Brazilian attacking midfielder Savio Roberto as their third foreign player for the 2025/2026 BRI Super League season. This addition brings the total number of Brazilian players in the squad to five, highlighting the club’s growing reliance on talent from the South American football powerhouse. The announcement was made through PSM’s official social media channels, putting an end to recent speculation among fans.
Savio, who is 29 years old, wasted no time integrating into the team. He immediately joined training sessions and participated in the club's friendly matches in Jakarta. These included games against Persita Tangerang, Garudayaksa FC, Adhyaksa FC, and Malaysian side Kuching City FC. His arrival is expected to provide a creative spark in midfield, adding depth and technical skill to PSM’s attacking strategies.
The Brazilian midfielder joins a familiar group of compatriots at the club. Veterans like Aloisio Soares Neto and Victor Luiz have already been part of PSM since last season, while Lucas Serafim and Alex Tanque were brought in earlier this year.
