Bhayangkara FC Becomes First Super League Club to Fill Full Foreign Player Quota
Bhayangkara FC has officially become the first team in the Super League 2025–2026 to complete its full quota of 11 foreign players. The milestone was reached with the signing of Montenegrin striker Dejan Racic, whose arrival was announced on July 23, 2025. The 27-year-old forward, known for his towering 188 cm height, had an impressive stint in the Singapore Premier League, where he recorded 23 goals and six assists in the previous season with Hougang United.
Racic joins a roster already filled with international talent as Bhayangkara FC had previously introduced nine foreign signings. These include players such as Andres Nieto, Christian Ilicic, Leo Silva, Stjepan Plazonja, Slavko Damjanovic, Fareed Sadat, Moises Gaucho, Nehar Sadiki, and Shanyder Borgelin. Each player brings a different skill set to the squad, enhancing the team's overall depth and competitiveness ahead of the new season.
In addition to the ten new recruits, Bhayangkara FC also welcomes back Matias Mier, who had been on loan to Barito Putera during the latter half of last season. Mier’s return completes the team’s foreign player lineup under the new Super League regulation, which allows each club to register up to 11 international players. However, the club has yet to clarify whether Mier will continue to be part of the long-term plans or if his contract will be renewed.
With this development, Bhayangkara FC sets a strong example by proactively assembling a complete and diverse international squad before the league's official kick-off. Their readiness could give them a strategic advantage as teams continue to finalize their rosters. The club’s approach reflects a serious ambition to compete at the highest level and potentially make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
