AC Milan Intensifies Pursuit of Guela Doue with Improved Transfer Offer
AC Milan is actively pushing to sign Guela Doue, the older brother of Desire Doue, as part of their summer transfer strategy to strengthen the right side of their defense. After finalizing a deal for Pervis Estupiñán on the left flank, the club has now shifted its focus to securing a solid option on the opposite side. Milan has reportedly informed the player’s representatives that a revised offer will soon be sent to Strasbourg.
The Italian club is preparing to raise its bid to around €21–22 million, although Strasbourg is still holding firm at a valuation of €30 million, including bonuses. Despite the gap in valuation, Milan appears determined to land the 22-year-old defender, who has emerged as a key target due to his blend of physical strength, tactical discipline, and adaptability in multiple defensive roles.
Guela Doue made a strong impression in Ligue 1 last season after transferring from Rennes to Strasbourg. He became a regular starter and contributed significantly to the team’s seventh-place finish in the 2024–25 campaign. His performances have drawn attention from several European clubs, but Milan is currently leading the chase with an aggressive approach in negotiations.
While Doue’s defensive qualities and professionalism are well-regarded, there is still room for growth in his offensive contributions. Nevertheless, head coach Massimiliano Allegri views him as a player who aligns with the club's football philosophy and long-term vision. Milan’s persistence signals their commitment to reinforcing the squad with young, high-potential talents ahead of the new season.
