Police Officers Who Are Footballers but Won't Join Bhayangkara FC
Bhayangkara FC, a team owned by the Indonesian National Police, has earned its return to Liga 1 for the upcoming season. Known for its unique composition of police officers as players, the club, which was established in 2016, has seen many of its athletes also serve in the police force. After a successful start in Liga 1, including a championship in 2017, the club is set to relocate to Lampung and will be rebranded as Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC for the 2024 season.

In a bid to strengthen their squad, Bhayangkara FC has been linked with several players who are also members of the police force. Among the rumored transfers is defender Muhammad Ferarri, whose contract with Persija Jakarta is set to expire. While Ferarri became a police officer in 2023, alongside several other players, his move to Bhayangkara FC has yet to materialize. Similarly, Kakang Rudianto, a versatile player from Persib Bandung, has been a frequent subject of transfer rumors to Bhayangkara FC, with a possible move becoming more likely this coming season.

Other players who joined the police force in 2023, like Ananda Raehan from PSM Makassar and Daffa Fasya from Borneo FC, could also find themselves at Bhayangkara FC, potentially enhancing the team’s depth. While Raehan, a promising midfielder, has had a significant number of appearances, Daffa has seen limited action in his professional career. Bhayangkara FC could provide a platform for players like Daffa to develop further, potentially grooming him as a long-term successor in the goalkeeper position, alongside police officer Awan Setho Raharjo.
