PSSI Demands Re-draw for 2025 Liga 4 National Draw
The recent draw for the 2025 Liga 4 National tournament has sparked controversy after a video of the event went viral on social media. The footage showed a man drawing the balls from a glass jar, only to open them underneath the table, leading to suspicions that the team names may have been switched with those hidden below.
In response to the incident, PSSI President Erick Thohir expressed his disapproval of the unprofessional and non-transparent process, calling for a re-draw. Thohir emphasized the importance of maintaining fair play and integrity in competitions, urging that the draw be conducted again with clear, fair procedures and with all relevant parties involved.
The Liga 4 National tournament features 64 teams that advanced from regional qualifiers, aiming for promotion to the Liga Nusantara or Liga 3 next season. The 64 teams are divided into 16 groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the next round.
The first matchday of the 64-team stage is scheduled for April 21, with subsequent matches taking place on April 23 and 24. The final matchday will be held on April 26.
