Bali United’s Young Talent Gains Spanish Training, Eyes National Team Call-Up

Bali United’s Young Talent Gains Spanish Training, Eyes National Team Call-Up
Bali United’s young midfielder, Keanu Senjaya, is currently undergoing training with Spanish club Deportivo Alaves. He is part of the EPA Future Stars program, which also includes Arigo Juniville Fabiano from Persita and Maickel Protasius Yesaya from Persebaya.
These players were selected after excelling in the Elite Pro Academy (EPA) Liga 1 U-16 2024-25, with Keanu earning the Best Player award. His training in Spain runs until March 15, offering valuable experience in a top-tier football environment.
Initially, Keanu did not anticipate getting the opportunity to train abroad, especially with a club competing in one of Europe’s strongest leagues. The experience allows him to gain insight into an advanced football system, with a strong emphasis on tactical awareness and short passing play. The training sessions focus on maintaining ball control, movement off the ball, and improving game vision, enabling players to adapt to a more structured and efficient playing style.
Keanu has adjusted well to this new approach, finding the emphasis on passing and spatial awareness beneficial in simplifying the game. His goal is to apply these lessons upon returning to Indonesia, with aspirations of breaking into Bali United’s senior squad. Beyond that, his ultimate dream is to represent the Indonesian national team in the future.
