ElianoReijnders on French Club’s Radar, Potential Move to Ligue 1 Awaits
Indonesian national team midfielder ElianoReijnders has reportedly caught the attention of French club FC Metz, which is currently competing in Ligue 2. The club is considering him as a potential addition to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
According to a report from Football Transfer NL, Reijnders is open to leaving PEC Zwolle during the summer transfer window of 2025, despite being under contract until 2027. The 24-year-old has struggled to secure a regular starting spot under head coach Johnny Jansen, making just 15 appearances this season, mostly as a substitute.
FC Metz is monitoring the situation and could make a move for Reijnders, with a transfer fee estimated at €700,000 (approximately IDR 12.5 billion). If the deal materializes, he could have the opportunity to play in the French top flight next season.
Currently, FC Metz sits third in the Ligue 2 standings with 50 points from 26 matches, just two points behind league leaders FC Lorient and second-placed Paris FC. With the club pushing for promotion, Reijnders’ arrival could provide an additional boost as they aim to secure a spot in Ligue 1.
