Justin Hubner Joins First-Team Training Ahead of Liverpool vs Wolves Match

Indonesian national team player Justin Hubner participated in a training session with Wolverhampton Wanderers' first team as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday, January 16th. This was confirmed by a video posted on Wolves' official YouTube channel on Monday, February 10th, which featured a behind-the-scenes look at the training of the club's new recruit, Marshall Munetsi.
In the video, Hubner can be seen training alongside several first-team players under the guidance of manager Vitor Pereira. Notable players like Arthur Cunha, Pablo Sarabia, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Joao Gomes, and South Korean star Hwang Hee-chan were also present in the session. Hubner’s participation in the main squad's training is a positive sign for Indonesian football fans, reflecting the progress he has made in his development.
While this marks a step forward, there is no guarantee that Hubner will be included in the squad for the away match at Anfield. To date, Hubner has yet to make an appearance for the first team, having only played five times for Wolves U-21 in the Premier League 2, as per Transfermarkt.
Over the course of these five matches, the versatile 21-year-old spent a total of 405 minutes on the pitch, but did not register any goals or assists. Hubner is expected to be called up to the Indonesian national team for the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Indonesia is set to face Australia on March 20 and Bahrain on March 25.
