List of Abroad Players for Indonesia U20 National Team at the 2025 AFC U20 Asian Cup

The Indonesia U20 national team is set to begin their journey in the 2025 AFC U20 Asian Cup, which will take place in Shenzhen, China, from February 12 to March 1, 2025. This tournament brings together the best young teams from across Asia, making it an important stage for Indonesia to showcase their talent on the international level.

In the group stage, Indonesia will face challenges from Iran, Uzbekistan, and Yemen. Head coach Indra Sjafri has announced the full squad, including three players who are currently playing abroad. These players bring valuable experience from playing in more competitive and professional environments, and are expected to make a positive impact on Indonesia's performance in the tournament.

Jens Raven: Promising Forward from FC Dordrecht
One of the standout players in the squad is Jens Raven, a forward currently playing for FC Dordrecht in the Netherlands. Having recently become an Indonesian citizen in June 2024, Raven has shown impressive skills in the attack. Despite his young age, he is known for his dribbling abilities and agility in breaking down opposition defenses. His strong performance in the AFF U19 Championship has made him one of Indonesia’s key hopes for the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2025.

Marselinus Ama Ola: Rising Star from Spain
Marselinus Ama Ola is another crucial player for Indonesia U20 in the upcoming tournament. Born in Jakarta on March 21, 2005, he plays for UD Logroñés Promesas in Spain. Known for his exceptional wing play, particularly on the left side, Marselinus is also recognized for his powerful shots and accurate crossing ability. His experience in European competitions makes him an important addition to the squad, and his call-up by Indra Sjafri is a strategic move to strengthen the team.

Welber Jardim: Midfield Maestro from Brazil
Welber Jardim, born in Banjarmasin in 2007, is another player to watch in Indonesia’s U20 squad. Currently playing for São Paulo in Brazil, Jardim is known for his calm ball control, vision, and ability to build attacks from midfield. Standing at 180 cm, he excels in aerial duels and adds depth to the team’s defensive capabilities as well. Jardim’s previous experience in the Palmeiras and Centro da Coroa football academies has given him a solid technical foundation, making him a key player for the Indonesian side.
