Persija Forced to Host Persib at Patriot Stadium

Persija Jakarta has decided to host Persib Bandung at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi for their upcoming match in the 2024-25 Liga 1 season. Due to circumstances, the team will not be playing in their usual home stadium but will instead take on the league leaders in Bekasi.

The highly anticipated match between Persija and Persib, scheduled for Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 15:30 WIB, will take place at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium.

Previously, Persija had considered two potential venues for this game: the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Central Jakarta and the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta. However, logistical issues led to the decision to play in Bekasi.

Persija has been struggling in recent matches, with three consecutive winless games: two draws against Persis Solo and PSBS Biak (3-3, 2-2) and a loss to Dewa United (1-2). These results have seen the team drop from second to third place in the standings, with 39 points from 22 matches.

In contrast, Persib is in strong form, continuing their dominance in the league with three consecutive wins: a 3-1 victory over Arema FC, a 1-0 win over PSM Makassar, and another 1-0 triumph against PSIS Semarang.
