Borneo FC to Play Without Mariano Peralta in Final ASEAN Club Championship Group Match

Borneo FC will be without midfielder Mariano Peralta in their final group stage match of the ASEAN Club Championship against Cong An Hanoi in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Thursday. The 26-year-old was suspended after receiving a red card in their previous match against Kaya FC in the tournament.
Manager Farid Abubakar confirmed that Peralta will miss the game due to the suspension, but the rest of the squad, including Gabriel Furtado (who was unavailable for the last league match) and Muhammad Sihran (who has recovered from injury), will be traveling to Hanoi.
Currently in fourth place in Group B with six points, Borneo FC still has a slim chance of advancing to the semifinals. Only the top two teams from each group will move on, and Borneo’s hopes rest on winning against Cong An Hanoi and a favorable result in the match between Buriram United and Kuala Lumpur FC.
If Borneo secures all three points and Buriram and Kuala Lumpur draw, Borneo will advance. However, if either Buriram or Kuala Lumpur wins, one of them will take the group’s qualifying spot.
While acknowledging that the odds are against them, Farid emphasized that the team would give their all, leaving the outcome in the hands of fate.
