Alphonso Davies extends his contract with Bayern Munich until June 2030

Bayern Munich has officially extended the contract of Alphonso Davies until June 30, 2030. The 24-year-old Canadian international has been with the club since transferring from Vancouver Whitecaps in the 2018/19 season.

Sporting director Max Eberl stated: "We are delighted to move forward with Alphonso Davies. He has been with Bayern since he was 18 and quickly integrated into the club. We see him as part of the new generation of our team, and he is taking on more and more responsibility. He has grown here and will continue to develop alongside the team."

Sporting director Christoph Freund added: "Alphonso Davies has developed into one of the best players in the world in his position at Bayern, attracting significant interest. His decision to stay with us and continue his journey here highlights Bayern’s importance on the international stage—Alphonso has found his sporting home in Munich."

Alphonso Davies himself expressed: "I am very happy to extend my contract with this great club. When I joined Bayern at 18, my goal was simply to learn as much as possible every day and become one of the best players in my position. Now, I am looking forward to another five years. I have already achieved a lot here—but there is still more to come in the future."
