Two Indonesian National Team Players Compete for the Thai League Title

Pratama Arhan has secured a new club, joining Bangkok United in the Thai League 1. The Indonesian left-back signed a long-term contract with the club, extending until June 2028. With his move, Arhan joins AsnawiMangkualam, who has been playing for Port FC, making it two Indonesian national team players competing in the top tier of Thai football, Thai League 1.
Asnawi, who recently extended his contract with Port FC, continues to represent the club owned by NualphanLamsam, president of the Football Association of Thailand. Both Arhan and Asnawi could potentially battle for the 2024-25 Thai League 1 championship, as Bangkok United and Port FC are currently in the race.
Bangkok United is in second place with 30 points after 15 matches, closely followed by Port FC in third place with just one point behind. However, both teams face a tough challenge with Buriram United leading the standings with 39 points.
Football fans in Indonesia are particularly looking forward to March 16, 2025, when Asnawi’s Port FC will host PratamaArhan’s Bangkok United. This match could play a significant role in determining the title race for both teams.
