Malut United Secures Rising Midfield Star Ridho Syuhada Ahead of 2025-26 Super League Campaign
Malut United has officially signed Ridho Syuhada Putra, a promising young midfielder and former Garuda Select participant, as part of their preparations for the 2025–26 Super League season. This strategic move is aimed at reinforcing the team's midfield by bringing in a youthful player with national-level experience. Ridho's potential was first recognized through the Garuda Select program, which was overseen by former Chelsea player Dennis Wise.
Ridho's football journey began at the PSIS Semarang academy, where he trained from a young age. His selection into the third batch of the Garuda Select program helped him grow rapidly as a player. Upon returning to Indonesia, he played for PSIS's U-18 team and eventually earned a spot in the senior squad in 2023. He also had a brief loan spell with PSMS Medan before rejoining PSIS for the following season.
The 2024–2025 season marked a turning point in Ridho’s career, as he became a regular in PSIS’s first team. He made 32 appearances in Liga 1, contributing two goals and an assist—an impressive feat for a young central midfielder. His consistent performances and growing confidence reflected his readiness to compete at a higher level, gaining trust from the coaching staff along the way.
Despite Ridho’s personal progress, PSIS endured a disappointing season, finishing last in the league and suffering relegation after earning only 25 points. This downturn created an opening for Ridho to explore new opportunities. His move to Malut United represents not only a fresh chapter in his career but also a key addition to a club aiming to make a strong impact in the upcoming Super League season.
