Bayern Munich Prepares Fresh Bid for Luis Diaz Amid Growing Transfer Opportunities
Bayern Munich is reportedly preparing a renewed offer to sign Liverpool winger Luis Diaz during the summer transfer window of 2025. The Colombian international remains under contract with the Premier League side until 2027, but speculation around his future has intensified, with suggestions that he may be open to a new challenge away from Anfield. Despite strong interest, Liverpool has so far rejected bids, including a €67.5 million proposal last week.
Liverpool has set a high valuation of around €100 million for Diaz, which Bayern Munich may now be willing to meet. The German champions have made Diaz their primary attacking target for the summer and are preparing to submit an official bid to test Liverpool’s resolve. Diaz, who is now 28, is seen as a key piece in Bayern’s plan to revamp their wide attacking options following recent changes in their squad.
If Bayern fails to land Diaz, they have identified a promising alternative in young winger Malick Fofana. While he is less experienced, Fofana presents a long-term investment opportunity. However, Bayern’s chances of signing Diaz could improve due to reduced competition in the market, especially after Barcelona reportedly withdrew their interest in favor of a move for Marcus Rashford, who is close to joining the La Liga club on loan.
In addition, Liverpool’s pursuit of striker Hugo Ekitike may also influence their willingness to negotiate Diaz’s departure. With a significant investment underway for Ekitike, Liverpool may look to offset costs by cashing in on Diaz, particularly if Bayern’s new bid aligns with their valuation. These developments suggest the transfer door for Diaz could open wider in the coming days.
