Persija Targets Brazilian Wingers Ruben Pina and Allano Brendon for 2025-26 Season
Persija Jakarta is setting its sights on strengthening its attacking line by targeting two foreign wingers for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The club is currently in negotiations to bring in Ruben Pina and Allano Brendon de Souza Lima, who could potentially become new attacking partners for striker Gustavo Almeida. These two players, if secured, would offer a balance of attacking threats on both flanks — with one operating from the left and the other from the right.
Ruben Pina, originally from Cape Verde, recently concluded his stint with Portuguese second-division side GD Chaves. He had a productive 2024-25 season, contributing seven goals and four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions. With his contract ending on June 30, 2025, Pina is now a free agent, making him an attractive and financially viable option for Persija Jakarta’s management.
Meanwhile, Allano Brendon is a right winger from Brazil who currently plays for Operario Ferroviario in Brazil’s Serie B. Despite a modest performance last season with one goal and two assists in 22 appearances, his experience and tactical role could provide Persija with much-needed depth and versatility on the right side of attack. His name has surfaced recently in fan discussions and online rumors surrounding potential signings.
However, securing Allano Brendon may prove to be more challenging. The 30-year-old winger is still under contract with his current club until November 30, 2025. This means Persija would likely need to pay a transfer fee to acquire him before the end of the contract. If successful, the duo of Ruben on the left and Allano on the right would mark a significant upgrade in Persija’s offensive firepower heading into the new season.
