PSBS Biak Relocates to Bandung, Forcing Persib Out of Sidolig Facility
PSBS Biak has confirmed its move to Bandung as their new home base for the 2025-26 Liga 1 season. This relocation has directly impacted Persib Bandung, whose players have been asked to vacate the Sidolig dormitory and training ground, facilities they've used since 2007. Starting July 1, PSBS will officially take over the Sidolig complex, which is owned by the Bandung city government and rented for training and accommodation purposes.
Persib management responded to the situation by clarifying that Sidolig is not their property, and they respect the city’s decision to lease it to another club. Despite losing access to Sidolig, Persib emphasized that they have no objections, as long as the rental process aligns with official procedures. The displacement highlights how municipal ownership of football infrastructure can impact established teams like Persib.
In light of this shift, PSBS Biak is also planning to use Stadion Si Jalak Harupat in Soreang as one of their primary venues. Meanwhile, Persib is supporting its players with monthly housing allowances while accelerating the development of a dedicated training center and dormitory near Stadion Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA), which is now Persib’s official home base. Renovations are currently underway at GBLA in preparation for the upcoming season in August.
To ensure training continuity, Persib has already begun preseason sessions at the newly refurbished auxiliary field next to GBLA. Additionally, the club has secured Stadion Arcamanik as a backup training location. These arrangements are part of Persib’s broader effort to maintain professionalism and stability despite the logistical changes brought about by PSBS Biak’s arrival in Bandung.
