Madura United Completes Foreign Lineup with Ukrainian Forward Valeriy Gryshyn

Madura United has finalized the signing of Ukrainian forward Valeriy Gryshyn ahead of the 2025-26 Liga 1 season. Gryshyn becomes the eighth and final foreign player on the club’s roster, fulfilling their international quota. The club views him as the last missing piece in coach Alfredo Vera’s tactical blueprint, aiming to add a fresh dynamic to their attacking options.
Gryshyn, a former youth international for Ukraine, brings experience from various leagues, most recently in Bangladesh where he played for Fortis FC. Despite coming from a cold-climate country, his stint in South Asia has helped him adapt to tropical conditions similar to Indonesia. While in Bangladesh, he played over 1,400 minutes in 17 matches, scoring twice and contributing an assist.
His addition complements a mix of returning and newly signed foreign players in the Madura United squad. The club has retained key names such as defender Pedro Monteiro, midfielders Kerim Palic, Jordy Wehrmann, Iran Junior, and winger Lulinha from last season, ensuring continuity in core positions.
Madura United has also brought in Liga 1-experienced players Albertine Joao Pereira, known as Balotelli, and defender Roger Bonet, or Ruxi. With Gryshyn now completing the lineup, the team looks to blend familiarity with fresh energy in pursuit of a stronger campaign in the upcoming season.
