Bali United Secures Kadek Agung’s Loyalty with Three-Year Contract Extension

Bali United has announced a significant boost for their squad by extending the contract of young midfielder Kadek Agung Widnyana Putra for three more seasons. The club’s CEO confirmed that this decision reflects the player’s loyalty and the club’s commitment to nurturing local talent. Kadek Agung, a product of Bali United’s academy, has been a key contributor to the team’s success, including winning two Liga 1 titles.
Throughout the 2024-25 season, Kadek Agung played in 30 matches and provided two assists, demonstrating steady improvement and consistency. Since joining the senior team in 2018, the 26-year-old midfielder has accumulated nearly a hundred appearances, scoring twice and assisting five times. His development has not only benefited the club but also earned him a place in Indonesia’s U-22 national team, highlighting his potential as a future star in Indonesian football.
This contract renewal is part of Bali United’s broader strategy to maintain squad continuity and prioritize loyalty among local players. Alongside Kadek Agung, the club has recently extended contracts for teammates Muhammad Rahmat and Brandon Wilson, ensuring a stable core for upcoming seasons. Meanwhile, some players like Novri Setiawan have moved on after several seasons with the team.
Despite these renewals, Bali United has yet to announce any major new signings for the next season. The club appears focused on building from within and strengthening its existing roster, aiming to continue its competitive performance in Liga 1 while fostering homegrown talent.
