Manchester United Eyes Gambian Star Yankuba Minteh Amid Garnacho Exit Rumors
Manchester United is reportedly preparing to part ways with Alejandro Garnacho during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Argentine winger's future at the club has been in question due to ongoing tensions with manager Ruben Amorim. In light of this situation, United has begun exploring potential replacements, with Brighton's young talent Yankuba Minteh emerging as a serious candidate.

Minteh, a 20-year-old Gambian winger, impressed Amorim during a match in which Brighton defeated United 3-1 at Old Trafford. His standout performance, which included a goal and an assist, has since made him a target for Manchester United’s recruitment efforts. Amorim is believed to have kept an eye on the player since January, considering him a suitable fit for the squad’s future.

However, signing Minteh could prove to be a major challenge. Brighton views him as a key asset for their long-term plans and is reportedly unwilling to let him leave easily. With four years remaining on his contract, the club is in a strong negotiating position and is expected to demand a fee close to £100 million—an amount that may stretch United's current financial capabilities.
Should Manchester United succeed in acquiring Minteh, he could fill the gap left by Garnacho and provide a fresh, dynamic option on the wing. But if the transfer fails to materialize, the club will need to quickly pivot and identify other viable targets in the market to reinforce their attacking options for the upcoming season.
