Indonesia National Team Calls Up 32 Players for June World Cup Qualifiers Against China and Japan
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has announced a squad of 32 players who will participate in the national team's training camp ahead of the crucial World Cup 2026 qualification matches in June. The roster largely consists of familiar faces who have been key players throughout the campaign, though there is a notable absence in Ragnar Oratmangoen, who was not included this time.
Among the returning players is Asnawi Mangkualam, who had missed out on the squad during the March fixtures but is now set to rejoin the team after impressing in Thailand's domestic league. In addition to the established names, several players from Liga 1 have earned a call-up, catching the attention of coach Patrick Kluivert. Notable inclusions are Stefano Lilipaly, Septian Bagaskara, Yakob and Yance Sayuri, and Reza Arya.
Indonesia is gearing up for two significant matches in June, first facing China at Gelora Bung Karno on June 5, followed by a tough away game against Japan just five days later. With nine points in the qualification standings, the Indonesian team remains in the hunt for a direct spot in the 2026 World Cup, or at the very least, a place in the next stage of the qualifiers.
