Yuran expressed that for foreign players who are serious about their football careers, Indonesia is not the right destination, suggesting that only players looking to make quick money would find the league appealing.
In addition to the corruption claims, Yuran also voiced his frustration with the performance of referees in Liga 1, specifically criticizing the officials during a match between PSS Sleman and PSM Makassar. He accused the referee of being biased in favor of Sleman and questioned their qualifications to officiate in the top tier of Indonesian football.
