Gold Cup 2025: USA and Mexico Discover Group Stage Opponents
The draw for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup has set the stage for an exciting summer of football. The United States has been placed in Group D alongside Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and Saudi Arabia, while reigning champions Mexico will face Costa Rica, Suriname, and the Dominican Republic in Group A.

The tournament will begin on June 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, with the top two teams from each of the four groups advancing to the knockout stages. Quarterfinals will be held on June 28 and 29, with the semifinals on July 2 and the final scheduled for July 6 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

In other groups, Canada will compete in Group B with Honduras, El Salvador, and Curacao, while 2023 finalists Panama will face Jamaica, Guatemala, and Guadeloupe in Group C. Saudi Arabia, a guest team for this year, is also set to return for the 2027 edition of the tournament.

This summer's Gold Cup will be crucial preparation for the U.S., Mexico, and Canada ahead of their shared hosting of the 2026 World Cup, and with the Club World Cup taking place simultaneously, some players may be unavailable. The tournament will also be an opportunity for Mexico to defend its title after winning the Concacaf Nations League in March.

The tournament's 14 host venues include several first-time Gold Cup stadiums: U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, PayPal Park in San Jose, and BC Place in Vancouver.
