PSM Makassar Set to Conduct Full Evaluation Ahead of Second Leg in Vietnam

PSM Makassar's coaching staff is preparing for a comprehensive review of the team's performance and strategies ahead of the second leg of the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) semifinal against CangAnh Ha Noi (CANH) FC in Vietnam, set for April 30.
This evaluation follows their victory over CANH FC in the first leg, held at the BJ Habibie Stadium in Parepare on April 2, 2025. Despite the win, the coaching staff acknowledged several aspects that need improvement before traveling to Vietnam.
Assistant coach Ahmad Amiruddin shared with the media that while the team secured the win, the first half revealed several weaknesses. The players faced considerable pressure from the Vietnamese side during that period.
"There's a lot to assess from that match. We’ll rewatch the game to identify areas for improvement and plan new strategies for the second leg," Ahmad explained.
Beyond tactical issues, the coaching staff is also concerned about the players' physical condition, particularly Reza Arya Pratama, who sustained an injury during the previous match. Ahmad mentioned that the medical team is closely monitoring Reza's recovery and will make a decision soon, given the busy schedule of the Indonesian League in April.
Ahmad also urged the players to maintain their fitness levels to ensure optimal performance in both local and regional competitions like the ACC.
"With such a tight schedule, we expect the players to stay in good shape and remain focused on each match," he concluded.
