Persija Coach Reacts to Two Players Called Up to the Indonesian National Team, Mentions RizkyRidho

Persija Jakarta coach Carlos Pena expressed his support and well wishes for two of his players, Rizky Ridho and Muhammad Ferarri, who were recently selected to join the Indonesian National Team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. A total of 27 players have been called up to the squad, with nine coming from Liga 1 clubs, including the two from Persija.
Ridho, the team's captain, has been a key player for Persija this season, making 25 appearances and scoring once. Ferarri, also a regular in the squad, has played in 20 matches this season.
Despite the tough competition, particularly in Indonesia’s central defense, Pena acknowledged the achievement of both players, emphasizing how challenging it is for Liga 1 players to secure spots in the national team with the addition of new foreign players. He praised their dedication and efforts in making the cut for the national squad, especially under a new coach and with many newly naturalized players.
