---------------------------------
Fulham
Silva is bound to shuffle his pack from Sunday's draw with Ipswich. Raul Jimenez, who salvaged a point for the Cottagers, is among those expected to earn a rest.
Silva has Rodrigo Muniz, who's so far failed to build on his breakout 2023/24 campaign, in reserve. He'll be keen to get on the scoresheet here.
Reiss Nelson and Kenny Tete won't be back until February at the earliest due to respective hamstring and knee injuries, but Sander Berge has a chance of making his comeback from an ankle issue on Thrusday. Harrison Reed remains sidelined.
Fulham predicted lineup vs Watford (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Diop, Cuenca, Sessegnon; Pereira, Lukic; Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Muniz.
Watford
Watford are without starting goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann for the long haul due to an ankle ligament injury, so Jonathan Bond should get the nod between the sticks for the foreseeable.
There's likely to be less rotation from the visitors compared to their hosts, but there's bound to be some shuffling from manager Tom Cleverley. Experienced trio Moussa Sissoko, Ryan Porteous and Tom Ince could all come into Watford's 3-5-2, while Vakoun Issouf Bayo could be added up top.
Kevin Keben is out, but Tom Dele-Bashiru may be in contention having recovered from a knee injury.
Watford predicted lineup vs Fulham (3-5-2): Bond; Porteous, Pollock, Sierralta; Andrews, Kayembe, Sissoko, Louza, Ngakia; Bayo, Baah.
Fulham vs Watford Head-to-Head and Key Numbers
All three FA Cup encounters between Fulham and Watford have needed replays to determine a winner.
Fulham are winless in their last six competitive matches against Watford and have shipped in 14 goals during that time.
Watford have progressed from an FA Cup third-round tie only once in their last five attempts. That was a 2-1 win against Chesterfield last term.
Fulham have advanced from 13 of their last 16 FA Cup third-round ties.
The Cottagers have progressed from their last four FA Cup encounters against sides from a lower division.
Goals Preview:
Watford are struggling in the Championship and this match could turn their season to the worst. Exiting the FA Cup this early isn’t a thought they’d entertain as they take a break from their league. However, four defeats in five matches ahead of this match isn’t a run to inspire confidence. Facing a side playing in a superior league and with an eight-game unbeaten, Watford are underdogs here. Their scoring run is, however, impressive, just as Fulham’s. In that regard, our prediction for Fulham v Watford is for Fulham to win and over 2.5 goals.
