Malut United Loans Yandi Sofyan to Persija

Malut United has officially loaned forward Yandi Sofyan to Persija Jakarta for the second half of the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season. The move follows a request from Persija, which Malut United accepted, providing Yandi an opportunity for more playing time.

The decision was made after consultations between the club's management and coaching staff. Malut United hopes that this loan will allow Yandi to gain more experience and prove the potential the team saw when they first signed him.

During the first half of the season, Yandi, a 32-year-old forward from SAD Uruguay, made limited appearances for Malut United, totaling 91 minutes across five matches. He was given a starting role in one game, against Persita Tangerang in November 2024, though he did not manage to score.

Malut United's management emphasized that the club supports Yandi’s development and will always back his progress, no matter where he plays.

Yandi’s last appearance for Malut was in the final match of the first half of the season against Persija, where he played 8 minutes as a substitute. This makes him the third player loaned out by Malut ahead of the second half, following Ichlasul Qadri and Pramoedya Putra Suhardi’s loans to PSPS Pekanbaru and PSIM Yogyakarta, respectively.
