Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace will be without Chadi Riad due to a knee injury, Matheus Franca due to a groin injury, Adam Wharton due to a groin injury. Meanwhile, Daichi Kamada is suspended, and Rob Holding has been banished from the first-team squad.

Crystal Palace will shape up in a 3-4-1-2 formation against Newcastle United, with Dean Henderson in goal. In the back three, Trevoh Chalobah will start alongside Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi. Daniel Munoz and Tyrick Mitchell will start as the wing-backs. They will look to keep things compact at the back and help out during attack.

As for the midfield unit, Will Hughes and Cheick Doucoure will add creativity and defensive cover to the side in the middle of the park. Ismaila Sarr will reprise the no. 10 role, and he will look to link up with the two strikers here. Jean-Philippe Mateta will lead the line for the Eagles alongside Eddie Nketiah.

Newcastle United
Newcastle United will be without Emil Krafth, who is ruled out with a shoulder injury, and Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are out with long-term knee injuries. The Magpies will shape up in a 4-3-3 formation, with Nick Pope in goal.

As for the midfield unit, Bruno Guimaraes will start alongside Sandro Tonali and Joelinton in the double pivot. Tonali will look to break down the opposition’s attacking moves, while Guimaraes and Joelinton will add creativity and drive to the side. Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United Head-to-Head and Key Numbers
The last time Newcastle visited Selhurst Park, they were comfortably beaten by their hosts 2-0. The win was part of Oliver Glasner's hot streak to begin his tenure at Crystal Palace, as he ended the 2023-24 campaign with six wins in the final seven games of the season.
Newcastle have not beaten Crystal Palace away since a 0-2 win in November 2020. Their record there is not terrible, though, as four of their last six visits to Selhurst Park have ended in draws.
Crystal Palace have endured a horrible start to the current campaign, winning just one of their opening 12 matches. Since that victory over Tottenham, they have only claimed two points from a possible nine, although they were unlucky not to defeat Aston Villa last weekend.
Newcastle have been one of the Premier League's more inconsistent outfits this season. Eddie Howe's men have won five, drawn three and lost four of their first 12, and after impressive back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, they stunk out the joint in Monday's home defeat to West Ham.
Perhaps the most disappointing thing about Newcastle's campaign thus far has been their lack of goals. The Magpies have only scored 13, the lowest total in the top half. They have only scored three more goals than Crystal Palace, despite sitting nine spots above them in the table

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle United
Four of the last seven meetings between these two teams have ended as a draw, while only one of those last seven have produced more than two goals, so a low-scoring and closely-fought contest could be in store this weekend. Both sides are keen to return to winning ways, but taking into account Palace's poor home form and Newcastle's recent struggles on their travels to London, we can see the spoils being shared on this occasion.
